2. Free Service

QR Generator is a completely free service. We do not charge any fees for using the application and its features.

3. Owner

4. Permitted Use

• Generating QR codes for legitimate URLs
• Use for personal, educational, or legal commercial purposes
• Sharing generated QR codes in accordance with law

6. Limitation of Liability

OpenThreat.ro assumes no responsibility for how users use the generated QR codes. Users are solely responsible for the content they generate.

7. User Data

We respect user privacy. Data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties without user consent.

8. Token System

Our platform uses a token-based system for premium features:

• Tokens are virtual credits used to unlock premium features
• Free features (URL, WiFi, vCard, Text, Phone) never require tokens
• Premium features cost a specific number of tokens: Dynamic QR (5), Logo (3), Colors (2), Password (4), Geo-targeting (5)
• Tokens can be purchased or earned by deleting premium QR codes
• Tokens are non-refundable once purchased
• Tokens do not expire and can be used at any time
• Token transactions are recorded and visible in your account history

9. API Usage

Our REST API is available to all users with the following conditions:

• API authentication uses token-based authentication (Bearer tokens)
• Rate limiting: 1,000 requests per hour for free users, 10,000 for premium
• API usage for free features consumes no tokens
• API usage for premium features follows standard token pricing
• Users are responsible for securing their API tokens
• Abuse, excessive requests, or automated attacks will result in immediate suspension
• API documentation is available at /api/docs
• We reserve the right to modify rate limits with prior notice

10. Data Retention and Privacy

We are committed to protecting your data:

• QR codes and associated data are stored indefinitely unless deleted by user
• Scan analytics include: geographic location, device type, browser, timestamp
• No personally identifiable information is collected from QR code scanners
• Users can export all their data in CSV format at any time
• Users can permanently delete their QR codes and associated analytics
• Account deletion removes all user data within 30 days
• We use encryption for sensitive data (passwords, API tokens)
• Data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of important changes.
